We started the day with a brief walk through Old Town State Park, bought
our tickets for the San Diego Trolley Tour, and headed on our
tour. We made a stop at Horton Plaza and looked through the shops
at Westfield Shopping Town.
Next we went over the Coronado Bay
Bridge and saw Coronado Island. We walked through Hotel Del
Coronado and had a mid-morning snack. Back on the Trolley to Old
Town State Park. We had a late lunch at Old Town Mexican
Cafe. Then took at drive to La Jolla. We stopped at
Windansea Beach to watch the surfers. Then drove around La Jolla
and up to Mt. Soledad for a
beautiful view of the city. We went back to the hotel next to
watch the Hogs game. Afterwards, we needed a
"pick-me-up" and went downtown to eat supper at Ghirardelli!
My kind of supper! Ghirardelli was located in the heart of the
Gaslamp Quarter - "the historic heart of San Diego."
