Day 1:  We left Little Rock on a 7AM flight to Memphis and then caught our plane to Seattle.  We arrived around noon local time and picked up a rental car.  We made the drive south to Mt. Rainier National Park.  We didn't get to see much of the mountain because of low clouds but we did visit the visitor center & Paradise Inn.  There was plenty of snow to see as they average over 600 inches of snow a year at Paradise including about 5 inches today.  It was opening day at the Paradise Inn so we enjoyed seeing the rustic lodge built in 1917 as folks began to check-in.  The roads were clear but it was amazing to see the heights of the snow that had been cleared.  Finally headed back to Seattle, checked into our hotel and dropped off the rental car then had a quick hamburger and started the walk back to the hotel (yes, it was raining but we still squeezed in a stop at Cheesecake Factory for dessert to go).
