Day Six - July 24th:   After breakfast, we made a quick shopping stop and then we were on our way to Hoover Dam.  Did the Discovery Tour ending with ice cream cone at the gift shop.  On the way back we stopped at Ethel M's Chocolate Factory for a candy break and the cactus garden tour.  Then drove back to Las Vegas for a stop at Claimjumper's Restaurant for lunch topped off with the Motherlode Chocolate Cake for dessert -- a 6-layer delicious cake.  Next we headed out to Red Rock Canyon and made the 13-mile scenic drive before heading back into town for a brief stop at UNLV where Jason picked up a few shirts at the campus bookstore and then on back to our hotel.  Rested  a bit and then took a walk along the Strip.  At dark we were out to see the 'lights' of Las Vegas including the Freemont Street Experience, brief stop at the Mirage to see exploding volcano and then over to the Venetian to see the gondolas.  Picked up some hot donuts at Excalibur Krispy Kreme at 11:00 p.m. and then it was bedtime.
