Thursday, August 28th:
We took a late flight out of Little Rock with a brief stop in Memphis.  Jacqui & Brian were on our flight to Memphis on their way to Floriday.  We landed in Philadelphia around 1:00 am, picked up our rental car and made the drive to Atlantic City.  Checked into the Hampton Inn and called it a day.

Friday, August 29th:  Started our morning with a visit to the Absecon Lighthouse (the talleset lighthouse in New Jersey).  Afterwards we took an Atlantic City cruise along the ocean shoreline for a narrated tour of the various casinos and sights.  Walked along the famous boardwalk before grabbing some lunch.  Next, we drove down the coast a little further for a stop in Marlgate to visit "Lucy" the Elephant.  The famous elephant was erected in 1885 containing ten rooms.  Continued our drive down the coast to the southernmost point of New Jersey, Cape May, where we visited another lighthouse and drove through their historic downtownc.  Next, we caught the Cape May/Lewes ferry for a 17-mile ride across the Delaware Bay.  Exited the ferry, drove through Rehoboth Beach and Ocean City before stopping at Assateague Island National Seashore Park known for the island's most famous residents -- wild ponies.  Made a brief stop for some ice cream before making the drive on to Dover, Delaware for the night.
