Sunday, August 31st:
:Headed out to see some more of D.C. this morning around 8:00.  The church near our hotel, St. John Episcopal Protestant Church, happened to be where the President was worshipping this morning.  Streets were blocked off and the full security detail was out.  We saw the motorcade awaiting him but headed on down to get our tickets for the Washington Monument.  Next, we took the Metro to see the Capitol before walking over to Union Station for breakfast/lunch.  Rode the Metro again over to the Holocaust Memorial Museum and then walked over to the Washington Monument for a ride to the top.  Next we visited the White House Visitor Center before coming back to the hotel to check out.  Took our car over the Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial and then walked over to the Jefferson Memorial and the George Mason Monument.  Headed out of D.C. and drove to Baltimore. Checked into our hotel and then headed down to the Inner Harbour where we took a 2-hour sailing cruise. After supper at Pizzeria Uno, we called it a night.
