Thursday, September 11th:  After setting up the war room for Saturday's Urban Challenge race (Kyle & Jason are manning the war room for Saturday's race), we took a 7:00 am flight to Memphis and then caught a connecting flight to Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina.  Arrived around 11:30, picked up our rental car and then made a brief stop at the local Barnes & Noble to pick up a local Raleigh travel book.  Had lunch and then got on the road for about a 3 1/2 hour drive to the Outer Banks of North Carolina.  Stopped at the visitor center and then checked into our hotel.  The ocean is at our back door so we took a stroll along the beach.  Kitty Hawk, known for its high winds, was in full form with high winds and crashing waves.  Had dinner at a local diner before calling it a night.  Tomorrow we visit the Wright Brother's National Memorial and Cape Hatteras National Seashore.
