Day One:  We boarded our Delta flight at 6:20 AM for a quick flight to Cincinnati before connecting our flight onto Portland, Maine. We picked up our rental car, made a quick visit to the Maine Visitor Center before stopping in Freeport, Maine (home of L.L. Bean store and many other shops.)  We had a picnic lunch, visited the stores, and headed further north for a brief stop in Augusta to see the State Capitol and Governor's Mansion.  Next, we stopped in Bangor, Maine (Notice the Paul Bunyon statue).  Finally, we reached Bar Harbor around 6:30 PM and checked into our hotel.  We walked around downtown visiting the Bar Harbor Inn and various shops before calling it a night.
