Day Six:
We slept in a little later today before heading off to the home of Cape Cod Potato Chips in Hyannis for a factory tour and some sampling (kind of early for jalapeño potato chips but we are troopers!).  Next, we drove up the Cape with a stop at the Sand Pond Visitor Center of the Cape Cod National Seashore.  We then stopped at the Cape Cod Lighthouse where it was a little windy along the coast.  We finished our drive up the Cape Cod Coast with a stop at the National Park's visitor center in Provinceton.  Headed back down the coast and stopped in New Bedford (made famous by Herman Melville's Moby Dick novel) for a visit to the Whaling National Historic Park and the Seamen's Bethel or the Whaleman's Chapel (Chapter 22 of Moby Dick).  We finished our day with a drive into Newport, Rhode Island where we checked into the Yankee Peddler Inn where we are staying in the Carriage House.
